I love to read. I read all the time. I really don't have a favorite genre of books. I'll read anything from full novels, to the back of a cheerios box. It doesn't matter to me. But my favorite author is Lowis Lowry. I love how she takes our society and portrays it as a sort of utopia gone wrong in her books. My favorite book by her is called Gossamer, I highly recommend it. She also wrote The Giver, probably her most popular book, read in a lot of schools. The Giver is actually part of a trilogy type thing, accompanied by Gathering Blue and The Messenger. Gathering Blue is the first Lowis Lowry book I read. Also, she wrote a newberry winner called Number the Stars, it is about the holocaust, another book I highly recommend.
Yes, I am a twilight fan. Not an obsessive one, I just enjoy the books. I did not like the movie at all, I thought the acting was really cheesy. I also enjoy the Harry Potter series, the movies were alright, but I definitely preferred the books. I used to be really into the Series of Unfortunate Events. Lemony Snicket's cynical sarcastic tone is refreshing, to say the least.
The Princess Bride was an amazing book. Anyone that has seen, and enjoyed the movie, will love this book. It is one of the very few books I've read that made me laugh out loud.
Today was alright. The boy that I have a huge crush on ignored me, again. Classes drug on and on, never ending. Almost time for spring break though! I honestly can't wait. My sister might be coming to visit me, and that would be great I miss her like crazy.
No one reads this blog so far, but I still write as if I have an audience. Oh well, when I become a blogging sensation, my fans will want to go back and read old posts, so I will make them interesting.
love,
Kayla Marie
